About the role

As a Center Medical Specialist in a plasma donation center, you will play a critical role in ensuring donor health and safety while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and assess donor suitability
• Build rapport with donors and ensure confidentiality
• Educate donors on health, test results, and donation processes
• Manage injuries and adverse events during donations
• Evaluate medical histories to determine eligibility
• Assist in staff training and administer employee vaccination programs
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols in a biological environment

Requirements

• Certified/licensed as a Registered Nurse, LPN, Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT per state requirements
• Current CPR certification
• Bilingual in Spanish (required)

Skills & Attributes

• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, twisting, and light lifting up to 50 lbs
• Good hand-eye coordination and keen hearing/vision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Capacity to work independently and adapt to changing conditions
