EMT or Paramedic (PRN)

About the role

Medcor is seeking an EMT to work on a PRN (as‑needed) basis as an Onsite Health Technician at its construction site clinic in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The position involves providing patient care, case management, and wellness support in a construction environment, working collaboratively with medical leadership, local providers, and client staff.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on‑site clinic
• Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s clients and employees
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)
• Build and maintain internal team relationships
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
• Conduct pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings
• Document care using state‑of‑the‑art EMR and other tools
• Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
• Manage workers’ compensation cases and Return‑to‑Work (RTW) programs
• Monitor treatment plans
• Provide medical charting and OSHA record‑keeping
• Work closely with outside medical providers

Requirements

• Current EMT licensure valid in Wisconsin
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to lift a 50 lb emergency response bag
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive, outgoing personality and willingness to go above and beyond
• Passion for delivering high‑quality patient care
• Ability to have fun while working
• Comfortable working in a construction environment
• Ability to climb stairs and work at heights as needed

Skills

• Proficiency with computers and familiarity with EMR software
• Experience in emergency medicine or critical care (preferred)

Schedule

Open shifts as needed, Monday–Saturday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm. No guaranteed hours; shifts are offered on a PRN basis.
