Medcor is looking to hire a part-time EMT or Paramedic to be an Onsite Health Technician at our construction site clinic in Louisa, VA.
Schedule
- 7:00am - 5:30pm Wednesday and Friday
- Hours and days may vary based upon client needs
About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to use your skills outside of EMS, with good pay, job perks, and growth potential. Applicants should feel comfortable working in a construction environment, able to climb stairs, and work at heights as needed.
- Collaborative work with Medcor’s medical and operational leadership, local medical providers, client staff, and key corporate contacts
- Patient care, workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring
- Close collaboration with outside medical providers
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols - MCPs)
- Build and maintain internal team relationships
- Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
- Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings
- Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
- Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
- Case management and medical charting
- OSHA record-keeping
Requirements
- Valid licensure for the position (EMT or Paramedic)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and outgoing personality
- Passion for people and providing the best care possible
- Ability to have fun and go above and beyond
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable working in a construction environment
- Good with computers and familiarity with EMR software
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care
