EMT or LPN - Plasma Donation Center

About the role

The Center Medical Specialist is responsible for performing physical examinations, assessing donor suitability, and providing education and counseling to donors in a plasma donation center. They build rapport with donors, ensure confidentiality, evaluate potential health hazards, and manage adverse events or injuries. Additionally, they assist in employee training and oversee hepatitis vaccination programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical assessments and review medical histories
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality
• Educate donors on health and test results
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events
• Assist in staff training and administer employee vaccination programs

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed or certified as an EMT, Paramedic, or LPN per state requirements
• High school diploma or GED; current CPR certification
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and ensure donor satisfaction
• Physical ability to stand, sit, bend, twist, and perform fine motor tasks
