Responsibilities

  • Responds to all medical incidents including ALS, BLS, and Basic First Aid for Guests and Team Members.
  • Provides Basic First Aid and maintains stability within scope of practice; escalates patient care to EMS when ALS intercept is appropriate.
  • Maintains accuracy and completion of all medical reports and follow-up investigations involving injuries or illnesses of guests and team members.
  • Maintains inventory of medical supplies, wheelchairs, oxygen, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) units, alarms, and other medical equipment throughout the property.
  • Works closely with the Risk Manager on guest injuries and the Workers’ Compensation Coordinator on team member injuries.
  • Generates written reports regarding security and medical-related incidents involving guests, team members, and/or the facility.
  • Escorts and observes guests and team members to ensure safety; identifies and reports potential safety hazards.
  • Acts as a dispatcher during emergency situations when needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of the facilities and special events to advise guests and team members.
  • Ensures safe transportation of moneys; assists in opening and closing gaming tables.
  • Interacts with guests and team members in a positive and professional manner.
  • Attends regularly scheduled trainings with El Dorado County Fire to facilitate information flow and earn continuing education hours.
  • Maintains access to locked areas via a series of keys.
  • Verifies identification for individuals appearing under the age of 21 to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.
  • Trained and responds as part of the “Biohazard Response Team” (BRT).
  • Assists guests who have soiled themselves.
  • Works in adverse weather conditions: rain, snow, ice, extreme heat.
  • Assists Shift Manager/Designee as needed.
  • Completes all Security Officer duties.
  • Acts as an Ambassador for RHC.
  • Trained in Expanded Scope CPAP Medication Administration, Narcan (per protocol updated July 1, 2019), Glucometer Checks (per protocol updated July 1, 2019), King Tube, and Epi-pen.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current Emergency Medical Technician License issued by the State of California.
  • Valid Health Care Provider CPR Card.
  • Ability to walk and stand for at least 8 hours a day.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
