EMT - Basic (non-transport)

About the role

SeniorCare Emergency Medical Services Inc. is seeking qualified candidates to join our team in providing emergency medical services to the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care and transportation to patients in need
• Respond to emergency calls and non-emergency requests for service
• Maintain accurate patient care records and reports
• Operate emergency vehicles safely in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in a clean, ready state for immediate response
• Work collaboratively with other emergency services personnel, including fire and law enforcement
• Provide compassionate care and communication to patients and their families

Requirements

• Valid state certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 pounds with assistance
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-stress situations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in emergency medical services preferred
• EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) certification preferred
• ACLS/PALS certifications preferred for Paramedic candidates
