EMT-Basic - Located in Hyden, KY

Responsibilities

• Provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Communicate effectively with other allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain the organization's image and build strong community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS certification.
• National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification.
• Passing physical agility test.
• Compliant driving record.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of work experience in healthcare preferred.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Confidentiality and patient rights awareness.
• Basic first aid and CPR knowledge.
