Responsibilities
- Follows and maintains thorough familiarity with evolving medical treatment protocols, response requirements, quality assurance procedures, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other Company policies.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation of patient assessment and treatment.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation of patient statistical and billing information and services rendered.
- Appropriately uses medical equipment such as gurney, airway equipment/airway bag, IV, splints, bandages, and medications in rendering proper emergency medical treatment of patients.
- Communicates effectively with empathy and compassion to interview patients, their family members, bystanders, other service agency members and facility staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- CA Drivers’ License
- Ambulance Driver’s License (from DMV)
- Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MCSA-5875 and MCSA-5876)
- State of California EMT license
- CPR Card (American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider)
- K4 report (Driving Record) from the DMV (less than 30 days old)
- ICS courses (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800)
Pay
$19.65 - $23.18/hr. DOE (This rate applies to 12 hour shift and averages 42 hours per week).
Schedule
Part-time.
