EMT Basic

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and determine necessary care.
• Deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate and work professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• A valid California State EMT License
• A valid California State Driver’s License
• A BLS CPR Certification card
• A valid California Ambulance Driver's License
• A Medical Examiner's Certificate
• One year of EMT experience

Other Requirements

• IS100, 200, 700, and 800 FEMA Certificates (will be verified if given a conditional verbal offer)
• A driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass a Physical Agility Test (PAT)

Preferred Qualifications

• Related experience in healthcare

$26.33 - $38.80 per hour
