EMT Basic (20720)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Create a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Utilize appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws related to emergency medical response vehicle operations.
• Collaborate and work professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMTs.

Other Responsibilities

• Engage in community programs to enhance AMR's image and foster strong community relationships.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Kansas EMT Certification or Kansas Eligibility
• CPR certification
• NREMT certification preferred
• State Driver’s License
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT)

• $15.46 / hour starting wage with credit given for experience.
