Part-time, non-benefits-eligible PRN position with variable days and possible nights.

Responsibilities

• Function as a member of the transport team, providing care for ill and injured patients while promoting safety and efficiency.
• Perform under the direct supervision of the Medical Control Physician via continuous radio contact or direct consultation.
• Maintain necessary certifications, licensures, skills, continuing education, and complete competency checks as required.
• Maintain vehicles in a mission-ready status, including checking and verifying minimum transport vehicle supply levels, restocking, and cleaning at the beginning of the shift and as needed.
• Provide accurate and legible documentation of patient care, ensuring charts are placed in the patient’s medical record in a timely manner.
• Deliver quality patient care and education in accordance with policies, state regulations, Medical Director approval, and professional standards of care.
• Follow guidelines and procedures independently when Medical Control is unavailable via radio or direct consultation.
• Assist with public relations and marketing activities as needed.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, including ensuring seat belts are worn by crew and passengers.
• Follow vehicle assignments as directed by the department, maintaining flexibility as assignments may change based on department needs.
• Drive in accordance with Atrium Health policy and local/state regulations.

Pay

Pay range: $20.80 - $31.20 per hour.
