EMT
Responsibilities
The Emergency Medical Technician renders basic life support of the highest quality, compassion and dignity, while providing patients transportation in the pre- hospital and inter-facility settings. Functions as a member of the health care team in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures. Provides care to patients ranging in age from neonatal through geriatric.
Qualifications
- Current and valid New Jersey Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification
- Pennsylvania or New York Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification or NREMT accepted but must obtain New Jersey Certification within 12 months of hire
- Valid Driver’s License
- CEVO certification – must obtain within 3 months of hire and renew in 3 year period
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Previous experience as an EMT is preferred
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $21.50 to $26.87. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
