EMT

About the role

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a critical role in Saint Clare's Health's mission to provide safe, high-quality, compassionate care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic life support to patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
• Works as part of a healthcare team, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Carefully attends to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.

Requirements

• Current and valid New Jersey Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification.
• Pennsylvania or New York Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification or NREMT accepted but must obtain New Jersey Certification within 12 months of hire.
• Current and valid Healthcare Provider - BLS CPR card.
• Obtain PHTLS or ITLS or TCCC certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CEVO certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire and renewed every 3 years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an EMT is preferred.
• A good driving record is required.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Knowledge of emergency medical protocols.

Pay
