About the role
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a critical role in Saint Clare's Health's mission to provide safe, high-quality, compassionate care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and emergency response.
Responsibilities
- Provides basic life support to patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
- Works as part of a healthcare team, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Carefully attends to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.
Requirements
- Current and valid New Jersey Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification.
- Pennsylvania or New York Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification or NREMT accepted but must obtain New Jersey Certification within 12 months of hire.
- Current and valid Healthcare Provider - BLS CPR card.
- Obtain PHTLS or ITLS or TCCC certification within 90 days of hire date.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- CEVO certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire and renewed every 3 years.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an EMT is preferred.
- A good driving record is required.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Knowledge of emergency medical protocols.
