EMS Clinical Coordinator

About the role

The EMS Clinical Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and supporting all clinical aspects of the EMS Program, including planning and organizing clinical and field courses. This position reports to the EMS Program Chair and works closely with program staff, clinical facility, and field site staff to ensure each student has an appropriate educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the EMS Program Chair in duties related to the organization and scheduling of clinical sites.
• Develop and implement the rotation schedule using appropriate computer software for the clinical year.
• Maintain and monitor student progress in their rotations and competencies.
• Work with clinical sites to ensure their staffing requirements are met satisfactorily while students acquire clinical education and skills.
• Plan and evaluate hospital, pre-hospital, clinic, and/or field clinical instruction.
• Assist the division with lab and administrative duties.
• Communicate in a timely and effective manner (orally and in writing).

Requirements

• Previous experience working with allied health education programs.
• Documented experience in emergency medical services.
• Previous relevant clinical coordination experience in EMS.
• Valid, unrestricted Virginia’s Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State and National Nursing and EMS regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of EMS care principles, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Proficiency in all levels of EMS training requirements.
• Proficiently use Microsoft Office software and any related software.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Benefits

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (Clery Act) and a Responsible Employee (Title IX).

Pay

$30 to $35 per hour
