About the Company

EMS is Brazil’s largest domestic pharmaceutical company, founded in 1950 and headquartered in Hortolândia, São Paulo. The privately held firm operates through five divisions: EMS Similars, EMS Generics, EMS Sigma Pharma, EMS Hospital, and EMS Consumer. Manufacturing plants are located in Hortolândia, São Bernardo do Campo, Jaguariúna, Manaus, and Brasília, with an additional subsidiary (Galenika) in Belgrade, Serbia.

The company’s executive travel needs connect its Campinas-region headquarters to manufacturing sites across Brazil and its European operations in Serbia. Brazil has the world’s second-largest business jet fleet, and pharmaceutical executives frequently utilize private aviation given the country’s vast geography and limited commercial air service to smaller industrial cities.
