About the role
The EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the EMR Help Desk (Epic) Specialists, reporting writing, and DDAP reporting staff/teams. They support the Director of IT in IT and InterCommunity initiatives, provide IT-related project management, facilitate SOW approvals, and support vendor relations.
Responsibilities
- Provides Tier 3 Support for EMR, EMR Project Management for upgrades/rollouts, system expansions, and escalates EMR, Reporting, and DDAP related issues.
- Serves as the escalation point for all EMR, Reporting, and DDAP related issues.
- Supervises the IT admin team (Reporting, EMR support, and DDAP submission) via team meetings and one-on-one staff weekly supervision.
- Supports the IT Director on Administrative-related tasks such as fulfilling report requests, EMR/IT project management, and DDAP.
- Creates IT Policies and procedures.
- Identifies EMR/EHR software anomalies, tests anomalies to determine scenarios under which they occur, documents verified anomalies, and escalates as appropriate.
- Manages after-hours and weekend work, some travel as needed.
- Supports annual UDS submission with reports run from Epic.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (or 1-2 equivalent work experience).
- 1 - 3 years’ experience providing software support services.
- Must have excellent customer service skills, initiative to become a subject matter expert, and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Pay
$52,000 - $95,000 per year.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
