Employment Specialist - SEMP

About the role

The Employment Specialist provides quality supports for people to gain and maintain meaningful employment, becoming equal and contributing members of the business community.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based supports, accurate assessments, job task analysis, and development of positive work habits/workplace behavior.
• Support individuals in workplaces, classroom settings, and various other locations as needed.
• Anticipate and respond to individual needs, including emergency situations.
• Use a computer and complete tasks within a flexible schedule.
• Complete Innovations, CASE & OMH/CPI mandatory trainings within 12 months of employment.
• Manage time effectively and demonstrate flexibility, patience, resilience, and a genuine desire to support diverse individuals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver License
• Prior experience working directly with persons with developmental disabilities preferred
• Ability to use a computer
• Innovations, CASE & OMH/CPI mandatory trainings must be completed within 12 months of commencement of employment
