Position

Employment Specialist – Supported Employment (Full‑time) – 725 Airport Road, Lakewood, NJ.

Pay

Salary: $35,740.00 per year.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with mental health challenges in finding, obtaining, and maintaining competitive employment aligned with their preferences, strengths, and interests.
• Conduct career assessments and facilitate job‑development activities.
• Provide case‑management support, including interview preparation, application assistance, and job‑coaching.
• Coordinate benefits planning and other job‑related supports.
• Seek and connect consumers with additional services and community resources as needed.
• Advocate, consult, and coordinate services; prepare written reports and maintain timely, evidence‑based documentation per PBHG standards.
• Apply knowledge of work practices such as environmental preferences, safety, and entitlements.

Competencies

• Proficient verbal and written communication.
• Effective outreach to engage consumers in the program.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Creative problem‑solving and willingness to seek assistance when needed.
• Timely, evidence‑based documentation.

Qualifications

• BA in Human Services or an AA plus two years of human‑services experience, or five years of human‑services experience.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license with a good driving record.
