Employment Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking an Employment Specialist to provide Pre-Employment Transition Services for students with disabilities aged 14-21 in Southwest Ohio to prepare for careers as an adult.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Social service, sales, or teaching experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments considering interests, strengths, abilities, and barriers
• Collapse coordination services with families, advocates, and support systems
• Collapse collaborate with professionals to integrate services with treatment and educational plans
• Develop and implement individualized Vocational Service Plans
• Collapse conduct community-based work assessments
• Collapse provide job development, coaching, and retention services
• Collapse compile information for Individualized Service Plan (ISP) reports
• Collapse facilitate job-seeking and social skills groups
• Collapse serve as liaison between WPA staff, Program Manager, funding sources, and employers

Pay and Benefits

• Pay: $17.50 - $18/hr
