EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE

About the role

The State of California seeks a dedicated Veteran to advocate for all veterans served by the local AJCC with businesses, industry, and other community-based organizations. This position promotes the Employment Development Department (EDD), Jobs for Veterans State Grants (JVSG), and Workforce Services (WS) programs by providing employer business services with a focus on hiring veterans.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Employment Development Department (EDD), Jobs for Veterans State Grants (JVSG), and Workforce Services (WS) programs
• Advocate for veterans in the workforce
• Talk to others to promote the skills veterans bring to the workforce
• Enjoy working independently and be outgoing
• May be eligible for a hybrid work schedule

Requirements

• Must be a qualified Veteran
• Submit copy of DD214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty as well as any supporting documentation administered by the Department of Veteran's Affairs showing service-connected disability
