This role is with a premier, Chicago-based law firm that specializes exclusively in representing employers. Established over 80 years ago, the firm focuses on labor relations, employment litigation, employee benefits, business immigration, and executive compensation.
About the role
Admission to the Bars of the State of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois is required.
Responsibilities
- Defend against discrimination claims under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, IHRA, IWA, and similar common law claims.
- Defend against wage and hour and other class action claims under the FLSA, IMWL, IWPCA, and BIPA.
- Defend and/or prosecute trade secret violations and breaches of confidentiality, non-compete, and non-solicitation agreements.
- Handle motion practice, written discovery, depositions, and summary judgment in state and federal court.
- Take ownership of assigned cases while working collaboratively with other attorneys.
