Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers in employment litigation matters in federal and state courts
- Contribute to case strategy development and overall litigation planning
- Draft pleadings, motions and substantive briefs
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Review electronically stored information and manage discovery processes
- Appear in court and interact with clients and opposing counsel
- Advise clients on workplace law issues including wage and hour, ADA accommodations, employee relations and risk mitigation
- Counsel on employment agreements, reductions-in-force and employment policies
Who You Are
- Relevant employment litigation experience
- Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws including Title VII, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA and related state statutes
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience providing employment counselling is advantageous
- Admitted to practice in Oregon; California admission or willingness to sit for the California Bar is a plus
