Employment Law Attorney

About the role

Morgan & Morgan is seeking employment attorneys to join our growing Employment Law Department. We are interested in speaking with attorneys from a broad range of backgrounds and at every stage of their careers—whether you have spent years practicing employment law, developed transferable experience through a broader litigation practice, or are looking to make a move to plaintiff-side employment law.

We are growing across multiple states including Massachusetts, California, Washington, DC, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Michigan. We encourage applicants from interested attorneys based in Boston, LA/Orange County/San Francisco, NYC, Chicago, and Detroit.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of cases from pre-litigation to litigation
• Depending on experience, ranges from handling pre-suit responsibilities to performing senior attorney duties once the claim files suit
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
• Guide clients through the case process
• Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
• Attendance and preparation at depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances

Qualifications

• Law degree (J.D. / Juris Doctor) from a fully ABA accredited law school
• An active member in good standing of the bar of the state in which based/to which applying
• Experience with wage and hour claims is a plus
• Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation cases
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals

Pay & Benefits

• Salary Range: $85,000 – $500,000 USD
