Employment Law Attorney

Position Overview

This is an in-office position based at our firm. Following successful completion of the introductory employment period, attorneys may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement based on performance, productivity, and business needs.

Requirements

• Manage employment law matters from intake through resolution
• Advises clients regarding workplace rights, compliance issues, and employment-related disputes
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, demand letters, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
• Handle administrative claims before agencies such as the EEOC and state labor departments
• Take and defend depositions, attend mediations, negotiate settlements, and represent clients at hearings and trial
• Maintain consistent client communication and provide strategic legal counsel throughout the litigation process
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management and exceptional client service

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the State Bar
• 3+ years of employment law experience preferred
• Experience handling matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, ADA, FMLA, and related employment claims
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while working effectively within a team environment
