Status
The Employment Instructor assists with Supported Employment through the OVR program for the summer program. Daytime hours are required to support youth during the summer work programming. Instructor will contact and meet with area employers to establish relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop supportive relationships with participants.
- Help prepare employment proposals and negotiate job opportunities.
- Affirm compliance.
- Aid in the development of job readiness skills and interviewing skills.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- High School or GED required with minimum one year of paid experience working with young adults.
- Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
- Experience working with at-risk youth and families as well as employers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
