Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide career assessment and employment development services to job seekers.
- Expand employment opportunities for job seekers.
- Aid job seekers in developing a career path and employment preservation strategy.
- Contribute to the collection and sharing of participant data regarding client employment retention for reporting, assessment, and evaluation.
- Facilitate employment-related workshops and counsel participants on employment retention strategies to address potential barriers to continuous employment.
- Collaborate with other service providers, employers, and educational/vocational programs to assist current clients and returning clients in achieving their employment and educational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) strongly preferred.
- Experience in career counseling, employment development, and/or vocational training.
- Background in addiction, mental illness, and working with the homeless.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to work in a high-stress, high-volume environment.
- CPR training certification or willingness to take a training class in CPR.
