Employment Development Specialist - Beaver Pond Residence

Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide career assessment and employment development services to job seekers.
• Expand employment opportunities for job seekers.
• Aid job seekers in developing a career path and employment preservation strategy.
• Contribute to the collection and sharing of participant data regarding client employment retention for reporting, assessment, and evaluation.
• Facilitate employment-related workshops and counsel participants on employment retention strategies to address potential barriers to continuous employment.
• Collaborate with other service providers, employers, and educational/vocational programs to assist current clients and returning clients in achieving their employment and educational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) strongly preferred.
• Experience in career counseling, employment development, and/or vocational training.
• Background in addiction, mental illness, and working with the homeless.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to work in a high-stress, high-volume environment.
• CPR training certification or willingness to take a training class in CPR.
