Employment Coach
Pay: $16 per hour based on experience.
Monday - Friday, (weekends as needed) (25-32 hours per week)

About the role

Join Emory Valley Center as an Employment Coach and play a vital role in empowering individuals receiving services to lead self-directed, fulfilling lives as active members of their communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, coaching, and training to individuals seeking employment, tailored to their goals and preferences.
• Aid people in developing skills necessary for employment success and community integration.
• Identify and leverage natural supports and assistive technologies to promote independence.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and uphold the mission and values of Emory Valley Center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or experience in supported employment or community integration preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and empower individuals.
• Knowledge of person-centered planning, supported employment strategies, and assistive technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community-based support.

Skills

• Enabling Technology Integration Specialist (ETIS) preferred.
• Obtain and maintain Training Resource Network Certification (TRN).

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Six months’ experience in a field or closely related field.
• Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license with a good driving record.

Duties

• Occasional after-hours work and travel to organizational sites.
