About the role
The Client is seeking an Employment Associate with at least 3+ years of employment law experience to join its San Diego office.
Core Responsibilities
- Litigate employment matters in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies
- Advise employers on day-to-day HR and compliance issues
- Draft employment-related documents including: Employee handbooks, Employment agreements, Separation agreements, Workplace policies
- Conduct workplace investigations
- Provide employment-related compliance training
- Participate in case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and client meetings
- Collaborate with team members in accordance with the firm’s 60% onsite expectation
Must-Have Qualifications
- JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted or eligible for admission in California
- 3+ years of employment law experience
- Experience litigating employment matters before state & federal courts and administrative agencies
- Experience advising employers on compliance and HR-related issues
- Experience drafting employment policies and agreements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting complex workplace investigations
- Experience delivering compliance trainings
- Ability to manage multiple matters with minimal supervision
