Employer Services Analyst I

The Employer Services Analyst position at PSRS/PEERS is a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial security of thousands of educators and public employees. This role involves verifying and resolving discrepancies in employer-submitted data, ensuring timely benefit processing, and guiding employers through complex reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze employer-submitted data to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Provide guidance on reporting and eligibility requirements
- Maintain accurate member accounts by monitoring submissions
- Verify retirement eligibility and perform audits on salary and service records
- Investigate salary variances and coordinate with Member Services and Accounting on benefit suspensions and reinstatements
- Generate audit reports and review and reconcile employer statements
- Process adjustments and analyze GASB 68 submissions in collaboration with Internal Audit
- Help maintain educational resources and serve as a resource during employer training sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
- Three years of experience in accounting, auditing, or payroll preferred
- Experience with pension systems or employer reporting processes preferred
- Relevant experience with PSRS/PEERS may be considered in lieu of a degree
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to interpret and apply complex policies and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office—particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills to explain complex information clearly and professionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
- Occasional in-state travel, including overnight stays, to support employer training sessions and outreach efforts
- A valid Missouri driver’s license for use of company vehicles

Pay
Salary range: $52,686 - $59,273. Pay within the range is commensurate with education and experience.
Schedule
This role is full-time with benefits and offers hybrid work options after training. The standard office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
