Employee Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Collect, understand, organize and share safety data at respective site(s)
• Develop interventions addressing employee safety opportunities in partnership with site leadership and HR
• Co-facilitate system Employee Safety initiatives and ensure implementation of recommendations at local sites
• Ensure accountability through the CEO
• Work in partnership with hospital and medical staff leadership in developing, measuring, and overseeing comprehensive employee safety programs, including performance improvement interventions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental or related field required
• 3-5 years experience of employee or occupational/safety/clinical/quality experience
• Experience in delivering educational programs is an asset
• Knowledgeable of MIOSHA and OSHA laws
