Employee Relations Partner (Largely Remote Role)

About the role

This role will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations matters, helping shape fair, consistent people practices across a large, centralized organization. You will handle complex investigations and guide performance management discussions while supporting compliance with applicable employment laws and internal policies. The position also requires close partnership with HR and business leaders to strengthen employee support, resolve issues thoughtfully, and maintain clear documentation throughout the case process.

Responsibilities

• Coach and counsel leaders on performance management and employee development
• Handle and resolve moderately to highly complex employee relations issues
• Partner with departments to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Advise management on performance evaluation techniques
• Investigate claims of workplace discrimination and harassment
• Maintain documentation per established protocols during investigations
• Facilitate communication between employees and HR functions to provide support

Qualifications

• 5+ years of employee relations experience, with strong knowledge of state and federal regulations
• Experience supporting a large organization in a centralized HR model
• Proficiency in documenting employee relations issues using a case management system
• Familiarity with California employment law is highly desired
• Strong knowledge of human resources policies and practices
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with attention to detail
