About the role

The Employee Relations (ER) Director oversees a wide variety of cases and investigations, serves as a trusted advisor to HR and business stakeholders, and leads initiatives that mitigate risk, support business objectives, and promote a healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations and manage ER cases, performance concerns, and disciplinary issues.
    • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, advise managers, facilitate resolution, and prepare related analyses and documentation.
  • Resolve complex employment matters and champion strategic ER practices that continuously evolve to mitigate risk.
  • Manage or support employment-related actions such as staff reductions, reorganizations, relocations, etc.
    • Partner across the enterprise to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Develop initiatives and training for people managers, HR Business Partners and others on ER best practices
  • Design and maintain ER policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Analyze case trends and translate insights into practical solutions and risk mitigation strategies
  • Partner with Legal, internal regional teams, and other stakeholders to monitor global employment laws and ensure compliance.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
    • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
    • Talents Needed For Success: Minimum of 10 years experience in an Employee Relations or HR Business Partner role
    • Law degree with concentration in employment law preferred or Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or equivalent experience
    • Deep employment law and ER practice experience
    • Proven ability to manage complex, high-risk cases and investigations
    • Solid analytical, problem solving and project management skills

    Schedule

    DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
