Employee Dining Kitchen Supervisor, Yellowstone General Stores

About the role

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Yellowstone General Stores in Yellowstone National Park, Wy. If you are an experienced Cook that enjoys ensuring team members receive high-quality meals in a clean, safe, and well-organized environment. Our ideal candidate has strong kitchen leadership skills, extensive cooking experience, and thrives in a fast-paced operation dedicated to serving internal guests.

What will you do?

• Train and supervise kitchen team members to uphold EDR standards and completes other duties as assigned by management.
• Oversee day-to-day EDR operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, portioning, and sanitation.
• Create weekly dining room menus using personal or established recipes.
• Prepare and serve hearty meals for team members using proper techniques and high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstations, coolers, equipment, and storage areas; ensure all kitchen equipment remains in full working order.
• Supervise food prep, breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and proper storage of all items to maintain freshness and safety.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations including labeling, temperature logging, and waste control procedures.
• Manage opening, closing, side-work duties, and daily inventory tasks. Orders receives and check deliveries for accuracy, quality, and proper storage, while maintain food costs within culinary leadership parameters.

More About You

• Minimum two years' experience as a Line Cook, Lead Line Cook, or Kitchen Supervisor
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to direct and support a team effectively
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Basic computer and math skills needed to place orders and follow recipes and measurements
• Ability to read and understand recipes, food labels, and safety guidelines
• No college degree required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to reach, bend, squat, and work in variable temperature environments.
• Standing, walking, bending for the duration of the shift, occasionally pushing and pulling to move equipment, mops, and brooms
• Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids

Pay

$19.75 - $21.75 / hour
