General Description
Client-facing employee benefits position that independently analyzes prescription drug information. Deliver financial solutions for clients with self-funded medical plans. Assist USI Health and Welfare consultants provide solutions that lower the cost of pharmacy benefits. Align Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) contracts with clients' strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Participate in prospecting activities with sales consultants.
- Articulate the USI pharmacy value proposition and solutions within the sales process. Includes participation in discovery meetings, capabilities presentations and conceptual/finalist meetings.
- Act as a resource for sales executives.
- Develop strategic plans and solutions for prospects and clients.
- Work closely with internal account management team. Ensure strategic objectives of prospects and clients are clearly articulated. Ensure all prospect deliverables provide proactive solutions in line with strategic objectives.
- Lead client PBM RFP process. Market services to carriers.
- Assist with educating team members and clients about prescription drug benefits.
- Conduct contract reviews and make observations and recommendations for improvement.
- Act as subject matter expert on pharmacy solutions within USI proprietary database.
- Conduct formulary and specialty drug review for select clients. Provide recommendations and solutions to meet client's needs.
- Assist with negotiations with Carriers and Pharmacy Benefit Manager's for preferred deals.
- Monitor new drug approvals and keep the USI team educated.
- Oversee patient assistance programs for specialty medications and recommend partners and approaches.
- Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships.
- Provide guidance and support to newly hired pharmacy team members as needed.
- Keep current with industry information, new products, legislation, coverage, and technology.
- Support clients throughout USI's Central Region through a hybrid work model, with travel as needed for client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning sessions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in pharmacy consulting or PBM or brokerage experience with a focus on pharmacy consulting or clinical or specialized pharmacist or related field.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
- Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations for clients.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.

Pay
Salary Range: $150,000-195,000.00. This is a bonus-eligible position with a target incentive of 10%.
