About the role

The ideal candidate will have four to ten years of experience with Employee Benefits law. Preferred candidates will have experience with all areas of employee benefits, including but not limited to, ERISA, the design, establishment, maintenance and operations of various retirement, welfare, and fringe benefit plans, and knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong academic background. Enthusiasm for client service and initiative are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding Employee Benefits matters.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of various retirement, welfare, and fringe benefit plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Advise on ERISA issues and represent clients before regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and review documents related to Employee Benefits plans.

Requirements

  • Four to ten years of experience with Employee Benefits law.
  • Experience with all areas of employee benefits.
  • Knowledge of ERISA and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A strong academic background.
  • Enthusiasm for client service and initiative.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in New York State.
  • Passing bar exam required.

Pay

The firm offers an estimated annual base salary range of $139,000 – $192,000, with actual base salary based upon criteria such as experience, qualifications, and skill level.
