Employee Benefits Attorney
About the role
The ideal candidate will have four to ten years of experience with Employee Benefits law. Preferred candidates will have experience with all areas of employee benefits, including but not limited to, ERISA, the design, establishment, maintenance and operations of various retirement, welfare, and fringe benefit plans, and knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong academic background. Enthusiasm for client service and initiative are essential.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on all aspects of employee benefits, including ERISA, retirement, welfare, and fringe benefits.
- Design, establish, maintain, and operate various employee benefit plans.
- Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding employee benefits issues.
- Prepare and review documents related to employee benefits, such as plan documents, agreements, and disclosures.
- Participate in client meetings and consultations to discuss employee benefits matters.
Requirements
- Four to ten years of experience with Employee Benefits law.
- Experience with all areas of employee benefits, including ERISA, retirement, welfare, and fringe benefits.
- Knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A strong academic background.
- Enthusiasm for client service and initiative.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in New York State.

Pay
The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $139,000 – $192,000. Actual base salary will be based upon criteria such as experience, qualifications and skill level.
