About the role

The Account Manager will manage a book of business with a proactive client service approach, ensuring all deadlines and service standards are met. They will serve as a primary point of contact for clients, producers, and service teams; respond to questions regarding policies and services; build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal partners; maintain accurate records of policies, renewals, payments, and related documentation; stay current on industry trends, regulations, tools, and resources to effectively advise and support clients; coordinate firm resources (Claims, Legal, Safety, Marketing, Technology, etc.) to deliver on client needs and purchased services; assist with marketing, placement, and renewal of new and existing business in accordance with established workflows; support client lifecycle projects, including preparing materials for recurring client meetings; identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance the overall client experience; travel to client sites, carrier meetings, and regional offices as needed; perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up firm resources (Claims, Legal, Safety, Marketing, Technology, etc.) to deliver on client needs and purchased services
  • Aid with marketing, placement, and renewal of new and existing business in accordance with established workflows
  • Support client lifecycle projects, including preparing materials for recurring client meetings
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance the overall client experience
  • Travel to client sites, carrier meetings, and regional offices as needed; perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two or four-year degree preferred
  • Experience in managing a book of Employee Benefits accounts required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functions
  • Prior customer service experience required
  • One year of experience with agency management system or CRM preferred, preferably EPIC
  • L&H license required
