Responsibilities
- Execution of Client Service
- Collaborate with Producers, Account Executives, service teams, and internal departments to plan, execute, and track customized service strategies for each client, creating measurable value and efficiencies.
- Manage the creation of proposals, including program summaries, service plans, and specific deliverables to support client decision-making.
- Build personalized client relationships through demonstrated ownership of service plans and multiple communication channels (phone, email, in-person meetings).
- Analyze risk, coverage, and program structure; recommend and execute coverage and program changes.
- Oversee accuracy and display of information in client portals; consult with clients on portal access for their staff.
- Leverage insurance knowledge to explain coverage terms, program options, and other details to clients.
- Ensure cohesiveness and timeliness of service execution with internal departments; create reports on service plan execution.
- Adopt an enterprise-wide approach to client service by collaborating with other service teams for a cohesive experience.
- Manage time effectively to prioritize workload, client service requests, and service parameters.
- Market Strategy and Negotiation
- Manage and oversee new business and renewal processes following workflow procedures and best practices.
- Create underwriting submissions by engaging with clients on exposures, coverages, and program needs; assemble submission packages following best practices.
- Communicate with underwriters and negotiate premiums, coverage, and other terms on behalf of clients.
- Evaluate coverage, terms, and conditions of quotes; compare options from multiple carriers and present coverage comparisons.
- Stay current on forms, coverage, insurance carriers, industry trends, and legislation.
- Maintain positive working relationships with insurance carriers; attend meetings and events to learn about their products and underwriting approaches.
- Data Process and Integrity
- Follow client service workflows and engage internal resources (e.g., process support teams, procedure manuals, reporting tools) to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain complete and accurate client files, including policy information, activities, attachments, and correspondence in agency management systems.
- Meet activity timelines, quality metrics, and goals to achieve desired levels of data completeness and process integrity.
- Peer Relationships
- Participate in scheduled meetings with service teams to discuss accounts, renewals, service needs, and platforms.
- Train, guide, and mentor Client Service Representatives and peers.
- Communicate effectively with Client Service Representatives to enable positive client relationships and efficient workload management.
- Develop effective working relationships with Producers, Account Executives, service team members, managers, carriers, and other departments.
Requirements
- Producers License for Fire/Casualty or Life/Health (required upon hire).
- Available to travel to local and long-distance client meetings; means of transportation for local travel.
- 2+ years of Account Manager experience within an insurance brokerage or comparable experience.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Business, Insurance, or related field (preferred).
- Professional insurance designations such as CPCU, ARM, or CEBS (preferred).
- Experience working with agency management systems (preferred).
- Proficient skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).

Pay
The applicable base salary range for this role is $64,700 to $120,400. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
