Emotional Support K8 Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year

About the role

New Foundations Charter School is seeking a full-time Emotional Support Special Education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to support our Elementary Students.

Responsibilities

• Support students with emotional needs in an elementary setting.
• Work collaboratively with other special education teachers and support staff.
• Maintain and write Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Engage in instructional support to continuously improve teaching practices.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of previous successful experience working with diverse student populations.
• Appropriate PA certification or a clear pathway towards certification.
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
• A willingness to engage in instructional support and professional growth.
• Ability to maintain and write Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Qualifications

• Strong background in special education.
• Experience supporting students with emotional needs.
• Knowledge of educational strategies and techniques for diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
