Emerging Store Manager

About the role

Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Supports the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
• Engages customers and resolves complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Monitors and improves store sales and profitability through merchandising and inventory management.
• Ensures proper merchandising, asset protection, and store cleanliness.
• Leads and manages store team members, providing training and development.
• Supports external partnerships and collaborates with the Pharmacy Operations Manager.
• Safeguards store cash, inventory, and technology systems.
• Manages store operations, including scheduling, compliance, and security.
• Communicates with team members and supports the Store Manager in strategic planning.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a solid academic record, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including professional ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.
• Completion of Walgreens' LEAP program or willingness to complete Leadership Essentials training.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
• Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Ability to transfer to other Walgreens retail locations, if needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and two years of supervisory experience.
• Valid pharmacy technician license, if required by state.

Pay

$45,000 - $71,550 annually

Schedule

Flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
