About the role
Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Assists the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.
Responsibilities
- Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
- Engages customers and resolves complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Supports external partnerships and drives community outreach opportunities.
- Safeguards store assets, monitors inventory, and ensures compliance with company policies.
- Ensures store cleanliness and responds to emergencies.
- Trains and coaches team members on technology systems and inventory procedures.
- Provides safety and well-being for team members and complies with legal requirements.
- Completes special assignments and supports pharmacy during busy periods.
- Analyzes financial and performance data, creating action plans for store improvement.
- Communicates with team members and actively addresses their concerns.
- Plays a key role in the training and development of team members.
- Manages promotions and hires, ensuring a diverse and skilled workforce.
- Communicates the company and store strategy to team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including business ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.
- Completion of the Walgreens LEAP program or willingness to complete the Walgreens Leadership Essentials training.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
- Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to relocate to a different store location if promoted.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with two years of supervisory experience.
- Valid pharmacy technician license, if required by state.
