About the role
Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Supports the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.
Responsibilities
- Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
- Engages customers and resolves complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Monitors and coaches customer service, develops plans for improvements, and empowers team members to resolve customer issues.
- Operates the store, assigns daily activities, delegates tasks, and manages schedules.
- Manages cash management, inventory, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Ensures store cleanliness and maintenance, responds to emergencies, and provides safety training.
- Trains and supports team members in using computer and technology systems.
- Communicates with team members and actively addresses concerns or questions.
- Supports pharmacy operations during busy periods, including serving as a pharmacy technician.
- Manages people and performance, including discipline, coaching, and performance management.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a supervisory position.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including business ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication and business acumen.
- Completion of the Walgreens Leadership Essentials training program or willingness to complete it within 12 weeks of starting the role.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
- Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to relocate to a different store location if promoted.
Qualifications
- Completion of the Walgreens Community Internship Program.
- High School Diploma/GED with two years of supervisory experience.
- Valid pharmacy technician license, if required by state.
