About the role

Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Supports the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
  • Engages customers and resolves complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Monitors and coaches team members to improve customer service and sales.
  • Ensures proper merchandising, asset protection, and store cleanliness.
  • Supervises cash management, inventory, and internal controls.
  • Supports external partnerships and collaborates with district managers.
  • Completes special assignments and assists during busy periods.
  • Analyzes financial and performance data to support business deliverables.
  • Trains and mentors team members for career development.
  • Communicates with team members and actively responds to concerns.
  • Plans and communicates the company and store strategy.

Requirements

Full-time position. Must be fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).

  • Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record, or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of supervisory experience, or completion of Walgreens Community Internship Program.
  • Completion of Store Manager training program (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Willingness to accept promotion into a Store Manager position, if offered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED with two years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including professional ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Willingness to accept promotion into a Store Manager position, if offered.
