About the role

Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Supports the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
  • Engages customers and resolves complaints to ensure a positive experience.
  • Monitors and improves customer service metrics.
  • Schedules and manages team members, including opening/closing shifts, approving time records, and responding to emergencies.
  • Ensures proper merchandising, protects store assets, and improves sales and profitability.
  • Controls cash management, inventory, and bookkeeping.
  • Maintains store cleanliness and responds to emergencies.
  • Trains and supports team members in using technology systems.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and laws.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
  • Analyzes financial and performance data to support business deliverables.
  • Supports Pharmacy operations during busy periods, including serving as a pharmacy technician.
  • Manages team member performance, discipline, and development.
  • Communicates regularly with team members and assists in planning and communicating the company's strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including professional ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.
  • Completion of Store Manager training program or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to relocate to a different store location if promoted.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED and two years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid pharmacy technician license (if required by state).
  • Successfully completed a Walgreens Community Internship Program.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in customer service best practices.
  • Experience with inventory management and cash handling.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of store operations and compliance with laws and regulations.

Pay

$45,000 - $71,550

Schedule

Flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
