About the role
Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Supports the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.
Responsibilities
- Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
- Engages customers and resolves complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Monitors and coaches customer service, develops plans for improvement, and empowers team members to resolve customer issues.
- Operates the store, assigns daily activities, delegates tasks, and manages schedules.
- Collaborates with external partners to support community outreach and drives store operations.
- Safeguards store assets, manages cash management, inventory, and ensures compliance with company policies.
- Ensures store cleanliness and responds to emergencies, provides training on technology systems, and manages security.
- Analyzes financial and performance data, creates action plans, and collaborates with the Store Manager to improve store performance.
- Supports the pharmacy during busy periods, including serving as a pharmacy technician.
- Trains and mentors team members, manages performance, and implements performance improvement plans.
- Communicates with team members, actively responds to concerns, and assists in planning and communicating the company's strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including professional ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.
- Completion of the Walgreens LEAP training program or willingness to complete the Walgreens Leadership Essentials training.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
- Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to relocate to a different store location if promoted.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with two years of supervisory experience.
- Valid pharmacy technician license, if required by state.
Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Proficiency in using technology and computer systems.
- Knowledge of store operations, customer service, and inventory management.
