Emerging Store Manager

About the role

Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Assists the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
• Engages customers and resolves complaints to ensure a positive experience.
• Monitors and coaches customer service, implements plans for improvement, and empowers team members to resolve customer issues.
• Supports Store Manager in operations, data analysis, and decision-making.
• Safeguards store assets, manages cash management, inventory, and repairs.
• Ensures store cleanliness and safety, and provides security.
• Trains and supports team members in using technology systems and software.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record, or equivalent experience.
• Completion of Walgreens Community Internship Program or two years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including business ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication and business acumen.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
• Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Ability to transfer to other Walgreens retail locations, if needed.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed Walgreens LEAP training program or willing to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training.
• Valid pharmacy technician license, if required by state.

Pay

$45,000 - $71,550 annually

Schedule

Flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
