Emerging Store Manager

About the role

Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Supports the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
• Engages customers and resolves complaints to ensure a positive experience.
• Monitors and coaches team members to improve customer service and sales.
• Ensures proper merchandising, asset protection, and store cleanliness.
• Safeguards store cash, manages inventory, and oversees bookkeeping.
• Supports external partnerships and collaborates with district managers.
• Analyzes financial data and creates action plans for store improvement.
• Assists in pharmacy operations during busy periods.
• Trains and mentors team members for career development.
• Communicates with team members and supports the Store Manager's strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a supervisory position.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including business ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication.
• Completion of Walgreens LEAP training or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
• Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with two years of supervisory experience.
• Valid pharmacy technician license (if required by state).
• Completion of Store Manager learning and development program.

Pay

$45,000 - $71,550 annually.

Schedule
