Emerging and Disruptive Technologies Senior Analyst
About the role
This position is contingent upon contract award. Prevailance is seeking an Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDT) Senior Analyst to support NATO Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (HQ SACT) Capability Development Management Support (CMDS) in Norfolk, Virginia. The role is expected to work on‑site and may require approximately 25% travel. The EDT Senior Analyst supports the identification, assessment, and adoption of emerging technologies with potential application to current and future military capabilities, analyzing science and technology developments, identifying opportunities to address capability shortfalls, supporting experimentation and capability development, and providing technology‑focused analysis informing NATO strategic foresight, defense planning, and warfare development activities.
Responsibilities
- Identify new Emerging and Disruptive Technologies and support the cataloguing and continued assessment of existing EDTs
- Assess the implications of emerging technologies and identify potential adoption opportunities supporting the Warfare Development Agenda
- Promote experimentation with EDT‑based solutions in realistic operational environments
- Identify and assess technologies capable of addressing capability shortfalls or significantly affecting existing military capabilities
- Provide and coordinate EDT analysis supporting strategic foresight efforts, NATO defense planning, capability and force development, capability requirements formulation, concept development and experimentation, and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA)
- Analyze NATO Defence Planning Process (NDPP) products, operational Lessons Learned, and other relevant information to identify capability shortfalls that could benefit from emerging technologies
- Develop practical examples of how emerging technologies could be applied to current and future operational challenges
- Educate military staff regarding opportunities and risks associated with EDTs
- Maintain EDT knowledge and information resources
