Responsibilities
- Answer medical questions over the phone
- See patients right away as part of the VEG Triage and VEG Spikes
- Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and physical exam
- Conduct physical examinations and other required investigations
- Create a diagnostic and therapeutic plan
- Communicate diagnosis and treatment options directly with customers
- Prepare estimates and present them to customers
- Review and update medical records
- Perform minor and major emergency surgeries
- Perform endoscopic procedures
- Provide education on aftercare and preventative measures
Requirements
- A DVM or equivalent degree
- Experience in emergency medicine, including surgery and endoscopy
- Strong team orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 25 kg, and assist with lifting up to 40 kg
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
