Mountain Emergency Animal Center is a well-established, progressive emergency veterinary hospital serving Blue Ridge, Georgia and the surrounding mountain region. As the only dedicated emergency veterinary hospital within a two-hour radius, our team plays a critical role in delivering expert emergency care when pets need it most.

About the role

We are seeking a full-time or part-time Emergency Veterinarian who is compassionate, a team player, and a strong communicator. Proficiency in general medicine and surgery is required; experience is preferred, but new graduates seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply.

Facilities & Support

Comprehensive emergency examinations, urgent care, surgery, hospitalization, and intensive care
Isolation capabilities and oxygen support
In-house diagnostics, digital radiology, and ultrasonography
Advanced tools including digital X-ray, ultrasound, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, Ligasure, cautery, Snyder units, and advanced anesthesia machines

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Current DEA License (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Active Veterinary State License
USDA Accreditation (or ability to obtain upon hire)
